COMMUNITY CENTER

Community — A unified body of individuals, a group of people who live in same area, town, city, who have same interest, race, or culture.

Hope City is located in one of Kansas City’s toughest neighborhoods and can often be a place of refuge for those living on the streets, and for those in need of safety, rest and shelter.  Our Community Center is open to anyone; including multiple ethnic groups, young and old.  Hope City provides a place where the community can share a meal together, participate in classes, receive prayer in our healing rooms, and are invited in for our weekly services and corporate prayer and worship.

We are open Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

DAYTIME SHELTER

Hope City serves as a daytime shelter, offering daily coffee, lunch, showers, free wifi.  In addition, we offer Life Skills, recovery classes and opportunities for further education.

DAILY LUNCH

Lunch is served daily Monday thru Friday from noon to 1 p.m.   An evening meal is served Monday and Friday nights at 7:30 following the Church service.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Annually, we do holiday parties as a community- Fall Festival, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  In the summer we have our Anniversary Block Party with barbecue, free haircuts, live worship and baptisms.  We also partner with Restoration Church for an annual Car Show at Blue Valley park during the Memorial Day weekend.

FOOD PANTRY

Every Wednesday we hand out bags of food to the community as supplies last from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Our Food Pantry sign-ups begin at 1 p.m. and the food is passed out at 3 p.m.
